Description :	Ce monument est composé d'une console ornée d'une tête d'angelot, d'une plinthe supportant le cadre du panneau de l'inscription flanqué de deux hauts-reliefs figurant la Foi et l'Espérance, et d'un fronton triangulaire amorti d'un groupe sculpté, la Charité.

Précision sur l'inscription :	Les premières lignes de l'inscription rappellent l'arrivée en Lorraine des ducs d'Anjou accompagnés de familles nobles et la prise de possession du duché de Bar, en 1430, par le futur Duc de Lorraine René Ier. Elles évoquent aussi le siège de Vaudémont, en 1430-1431, qui préluda à la célèbre bataille de Bulgnéville, du 3 juillet 1431, au cours de laquelle le Duc de Lorraine René 1er et Antoine de Vaudémont s'affrontèrent et à l'issue de laquelle René fut fait prisonnier.
