Historique :	Datation : vers 1736. On trouve le même sculpteur pour la pierre funéraire du curé Desbans à Dun. J.F. Galopin fût qualifié par Mgr Le Tellier comme l'un de ses meilleurs sujets, homme d'esprit.

Précision sur l'inscription :	Epitaphe précédée en haut d'un écu surmonté d'un chapeau ecclésiastique à trois houpettes : (d'or) à trois faces chargées de quinze sautoirs alezés. Transcription : Ici repose Jean François Galopin prêtre doyen de Dun et de cette paroisse depuis 1684 jusqu'en 1736 pasteur fidèle il s'est montré docile constamment aux décrets du souverain pontife comme aux ordres de ses archevêques étroitement attaché à la foi catholique il vécut pieusement et mourut en vrai serviteur de Jésus-Christ aux ides de mai 1736.
