Historique :	Toise ancienne dont l'intérêt, outre la rareté de l'objet, est la présence d'un cartouche avec le nom de l'objet, celui du fabriquant, la date et le nom du lieu où il a été produit. Dans un deuxième cartouche on peut lire les tailles nécessaires pour entrer dans les différents corps militaires. Enfin comme l'indique ce même cartouche, ce somatomètre a reçu la médaille d'argent.
