Historique :	Ce mortier de tranchée modèle Brand fut utilisé par les Français en 1915. Il lançait des projectiles à ailettes de 60 mm. La propulsion était pneumatique par bouteilles de 10 kg de gaz carbonique (d'autres modèles étaient alimentés en air comprimé par une batterie de pompe à pied). L'avantage de la propulsion pneumatique était une réduction du bruit et de la fumée. Il fallait la présence de quatre hommes : un tireur, un pointeur, deux pourvoyeurs de munition. Aucun autre canon de ce type n'a été inventorié en Meuse. Un seul autre exemplaire de ce type se trouve au Musée de l'Armée.
