Description :	Chaque standard se compose d'une armoire contenant tout le matériel électromagnétique, d'une façade comportant le tableau des connexions et un combiné. C'est un modèle de type B.C. (à batterie centrale) qui permet à un poste intérieur d'appeler l'opératrice par allumage d'une lampe au décrochage du combiné et de fournir à ce poste le courant nécessaire à la conversation sans que celui-ci soit alimenté par une pile locale. Les matériaux sont : noyer, tôle et bakélite.

Historique :	Ces deux standards pouvaient desservir environ 150 postes à l'intérieur de la Préfecture. Ils sont de type bien desservi, c'est à dire qu'ils nécessitaient les services d'un personnel permanent, à toute heure du jour et de la nuit. Ils ont fonctionné de 1955 à 1981 et sont les seuls exemplaires subsistant de leur catégorie dans la département de la Meuse.
