Historique :	On attribue à cette statue des vertus miraculeuses et curatives. Elle eu notamment un impact lors du siège du château de Ligny en 1443 par Robert de Sarrebruck. Elle est également invoquée pour les maladies de la vue. La statue était située sur le rempart de Ligny. Vers 1763, après la destruction de la tour Notre-Dame, elle fut placée dans une niche. On construisit un édicule néo-gothique pour la conserver au 19e siècle.
