Historique :	Tableau réalisé d'après une gravure de François de Poilly (1621-1693), elle même réalisée d'après un tableau de Pierre Mignard conservé au musée des beaux-arts du Havre. On connaît deux autres oeuvres proches, l'une en Franche-Comté, l'autre à la chapelle de l'hôpital de Vézelise (54). L'exemplaire de Saint-Mihiel est plus proche du tableau de Mignard que celui de Vézelise.

Précision_sur la representation :	Le saint, en costume d'archévêque de Milan, est accompagné de deux clercs en surplis blanc dont l'un tient un flambeau et l'autre est agenouillé et agite une clochette. Les pestiférés, couchés, attendent le sacrement. Au fond se dessine un paysage montagneux avec une ville entourée de remparts.
